Marc Smith,L.Ac.

Hoya Alternative Medicine is the business name under which Marc Smith, L.Ac. practices acupuncture & Chinese herbal medicine. Marc currently holds licenses to practice both Acupuncture & Occupational Therapy in the State of Texas.  He has practiced Occupational Therapy for the last 13 years and has worked in inpatient rehabilitation at St. David’s Rehabilitation Hospital for the last 8 years.  Now he has started in his new venture as an acupuncturist after graduating from the Academy of Oriental Medicine at Austin where he was recognized for his accomplishments in Herbal Studies by receiving the Michael Prendes-Garcia Herbal Excellence Award.

With the combined skills & knowledge from fields in both conventional and Oriental Medicines, Marc can provide tailored treatments to patients with a variety of ailments, including: chronic pain, allergies, orthopedic, and neurological conditions.

Treatments will consists primarily of the acupuncture treatment, and a herbal formula prescription if appropriate. Treatment may also include  targeted body work, recommendations for life style/diet changes, and exercises for the patient to do outside of the treatment sessions.
